During PAFL's first "official" game on May 1, 2004, we decided that the recruitment process for each team would be based on the player's state (or country) of origin. This essentially narrowed it down to the Victorians versus the Rest of the World. Since then, the recruitment process has been relaxed and the "Vics" have since be renamed the "Eurekas". |
Player Profiles
|
| Justin "Jacko" Puiu |
| One of the more milder mannered of the Eurekas players, has made a name up forward after starting off in the ruck. Jacko has converted well from rugby and is now the key target up forward for the Eurekas. Is a lethal kick off the ground around the jaws of goal. |
| David "Ding-Dong" Bell |
| Probably the PAFL's tallest player, with a very unique kicking technique. Predominantly a ruckman, but is very versatile being able to play forward or back. A real work horse always give 100%. |
| Derek "the Seagull" Ackary |
| There is no doubt that the PAFL Vice-president and co-founder would be right up there when it come to soft ball gets. Loves to hang back and take the crumbs from the spoils of the taller and more competent forwards. |
| Manoli "Zorba" Loukas |
| What can you say except don't stand in front of him when he's on the lead. Has a major presence up forward and is a dead-eye-dick with his left foot. When fit, is the PAFL's best full forward. Has repatriated due to employment relocation. |
| Steve "Fat cat" Arthur |
| The name says it all for this new comer to the Eurekas line up. Let's just say he is an easy target to kick at. |
| Richard
"The Rock" Spence |
| A new
comer to the Eurekas has shown to be a solid
performer and is capable of playing in many
positions. One of a handful of players who
can actually run out a full game without
the need for the oxygen machine. |
|
Xandro Molato |
| PAFL's answer to
“The Refrigerator”. Another one of the growing
breed of Filipinos who have taken to Aussie
Rules. A very fit and a solid contributor,
is developing into a very strong defender. |
