The Dingoes finished the 2004 season on 34 points, just ahead of the Vics on 31 points. Out of 16 games, the Vics won 8, the Dingoes won 7 and there was one draw! A great result for the year and the Premiership Trophy could've have been anyone's in the last round, but it was the Dingoes who prevailed as they took advantage of the bonus points system with big wins during the year. The 2004 points table finished like this:
